A floor, a memory, a facet

Using the kind of imaginative combinations of patterns and colours that have helped to establish his reputation, Christian Lacroix has revisited the soul of Faubourg. It’s a part of Paris he knows well, having worked there often prior to the 2000s.

He was able to extract the plural essence of the district, exalt the artisan spirit of yesteryear and combine it with the artier one of today, giving each room a setting that is both unique and welcoming. Thus, each of the five floors of the Hôtel l'Antoine offers an ambiance that evokes a memory of the great couturier or one of the facets of the district.

The “technological” first floor makes the most of raw and recycled materials, especially with the unusual bedside tables by Rémi Perret, specially created for l’Antoine.

On the second floor, brightly coloured velvet hangings and plush and equally dazzling carpets deliver a more opulent “contemporary” spirit.

With its retro curvaceous furniture, the third floor pays homage to Dissidi, a famous cabinetmaking company situated not far from the hotel.

The fourth floor, "artist's studio", emanates the chic and creative bohemian spirit that is now characteristic of the district.

Finally, the top floor distils its fifties notes inspired by the Balajo, the legendary Parisian nightclub on the nearby Rue de Lappe.
